Outdoor Market Sunglasses Booth
We got this picture in from one of our resellers this week and it shows exactly how we recommended they set up their booth.
They picked an outdoor market that is open once a month. We recommended that they get two booths side by side and then set the tables up all the way across the front of the booth. This allows for the greatest number of people to be looking at your sunglasses at the same time.
Drape the tables in a black cloth. There’s no need to spend a bunch of money on table cloths. Go to the fabric store and buy some black polyester cloth by the yard and just drape it over the tables. Then when you are done, just fold it up and pack it away until next time. The polyester won’t wrinkle and it resists getting very dirty.
Next, display as many sunglasses as you have room for. We recommend that you start with 75-100 dozen so that you have a very good selection. If you have a great selection people usually won’t keep looking hoping to find something else.
You’ll also need to find the price point that is right for you. Different markets will support different price points, so there’s really no need to print up a bunch of signs with prices on them.
At most of the markets we’ve been to, the sunglasses sell for $10 each or two for $15. You’ll have to experiment with that one. If you’re participating in a weekly market you may need to lower the price, but again, test the price where your competition is and then decide if you want to lower it.
And of course, you can find a very nice selection of wholesale sunglasses at Elite Image Sunglasses.
